Rev. Anthony D. Merritt, Pastor

​A native of Richlands, North Carolina, Rev. Merritt first answered the call to preach the gospel on June 24, 2004. He conducted his initial sermon on January 16, 2005.

​Rev. Merritt is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he majored in History and was a participant in the Air Force ROTC program there. He honorably separated from the United States Air Force at the rank of Captain.

​Rev. Merritt enjoys a marriage of 37 years to Debbie and two charming daughters - Tiffany and Toni (son-in-law Michael).Two grandsons, Anthony and Aaron.

​Changing Hearts Ministries was founded by Rev. Merritt on December 30, 2007. On March 15, 2008, he was ordained and installed as Pastor of the church. 

When he is not at home or church; Rev. Merritt can often be found Managing the Electrical Department at Lowe's Home Improvement Center here in Jacksonville.
